Like some huge bird of prey with its wings outstretched, this tree highlights the landscaping at the Hampton Inn. Somewhat younger than the cantilevered specimen In Willow Street (see separate entry), this Glauca Pendula reaches 38 inches around its trunk, stands 14 feet tall, and boasts a 25-foot wingspan. Its feathery branches envelope a lamp post.
This amazing cultivar is highly prized as an accent plant because of its graceful limbs that, untrimmed, eventually droop to the ground.
