320 Beaver Valley Pike (Willow Run Veterinary Clinic), Willow Street PA

The cantilevered Blue Atlas in Willow Street is a magnificent example of an accent plant.  (As a side note, this was the tree that inspired creation of the Tree Treasures website.)

The last photo, by Dan Howarth, shows the famous Cantilever House in Little Rock, Arkansas.  The architectural similarity between this building and the Willow Street tree is obvious.

This amazing species, native to the Atlas Mountains of Africa’s Algeria and Morocco, emits an aroma that wards off insects, making the wood a popular choice for modern furniture makers.
