With a trunk circumference of 212 inches in 2018, this tree is probably 150 years old or more (130 years is considered the normal upper age of Silver Maples). By size, this tree is among the top dozen Silvers in Pennsylvania.
This amazing species has a leaf that — exquisitely shaped and silvery on its underside — is among the most beautiful of all native North American trees.
