A dozen Dwarf Alberta Spruce are used as container accent plants along this main city street, each circled by a bed of bright flowers. Drought and heat tolerant once established, dense and slow-growing to an attractive pyramidal shape, the trees provide a whimsical presence to this Lancaster thoroughfare. Some mortality is to be expected, depending upon care.
This amazing species (Picea glauca) helps to form the northern boundary of the tree line and can survive minus 70-90 degrees Fahrenheit.
