Pennsylvania, with 1,400 Christmas tree farms, ranks third in the nation in that regard. Examples in Lancaster County include Abe’s Tree Farm in Lancaster; Hunt’s Christmas Tree Farm in Millersville; Elizabeth Farms Christ- mas Trees in Lititz; and Miller’s Christmas Tree Farm in Elizabethtown.
These farms primarily grow Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii), White Pine (Pinus strobus), Fraser Fir (Abies fraseri) and Blue Spruce (Picea pungens).
