About 135 different species and cultivars grow here. Most of the specimens were planted in the 1980-1990s but some were pre-existing.
Examples include: (1) Butterfly Magnolia (Magnolia ‘Butterflies’); (2) Caucasian Wingnut (Pterocarya fraxini–folia); (3) Dove Tree (Davidia involu-crata); and (4) Fringe Trees (Chionanthus virginicus) that, along with various ashes, are being treated for Emerald Ash Borer.
A direct offspring of the famous Wye White Oak (Quercus alba) also grows on this property (see separate entry).
