Conestoga Pines Park
161 Pitney Road, Lancaster PA (at the end of Arthur Morris Parkway, by the parking lot)
Two rows of planted trees, 14 in total, include some nice cultivars. Most are labeled but four have lost their identification plaques. Each specimen was about 25 years old in 2018.
The cultivars include: (1) Marshall Seedless Ash (Fraxinus pennsyl- vanica 'Marshall Seedless'), a variety of Green Ash (this tree is being treated for Emerald Ash Borer); (2) Green Vase Zelkova (Zelkova serrata 'Green Vase'); (3) Centurian Crabapple (Malus x 'Centzan' Centurion); (4) Princeton Sentry Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba 'Princeton Sentry'); and (5) Shade- master Honeylocust (Gleditsia triacanthos 'Shademaster').
The collection also includes Shumard Oak (Quercus shumardii), Red Oak (Quercus rubra), Serviceberry (Amelanchier arborea), Golden Raintree (Koelreuteria paniculata); and Cockspur Hawthorn (Crataegus crus-galli).
